The sophisticated five pillar, fusee movement has a verge escapement with knife edge suspension and bob pendulum. It is hour striking with pull quarter repeat on four bells and a lunar calendar. The backplate is profusely engraved with foliate scrolls, urns and birds within a border of husks.
[Quarter repeat restored leaving vacant mounting holes for the original bracket carrying the repeat hammers. Hour hammer replaced in French style. The fusees have been fitted with chains].
